Shifting perspectives, away from modern fitness

About me

Modern fitness often emphasises on aesthetics or performance, amplifying rigidity through medicalised routines. But I find that movement is so much more than that - it enables us to understand why it feels salubrious to move, to be playful, to feel young again, to connect with others, and, our capacity to sustain nature.

(And if you’re feeling a little political today - it can be a form of resistance).

Over the years, I’ve managed to orbit my attention away from traditional corporate coaching and towards a sustainable path within the realm of bodily movement.

I offer a hands on, trauma informed approach. And alongside my core PT qualification, also professionally developed in: foot and gait mechanics, menopause, midlife adaptations, sports massage, injury-sensitive coaching, precision nutrition, and movement disorders like Parkinson’s.

My approach to movement - healing, connecting, and strengthening our bodies - has evolved much from traditional personal training. It is an empathetic, manual approach, and it appeals to those that are looking to create peaceful presence in their day - accessed through a body that is able, trusting, and pain free.

Books (the radical stuff) based on the body, for the sake of the planet.

I can speak all day about ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’, when I’m not talking about our ancestral movement or indigenous cultures.
